Upon entering, you’re met with a warm and inviting atmosphere, where the attentive and friendly staff make you feel right at home. It’s evident that owner Noelle pours her heart and soul into this establishment, making each dining experience memorable.
The bistro shines not only with its delectable menu but also through its commitment to excellent service. Camie Herkomer praised the welcoming demeanor of the staff and the delicious offerings—including a standout chicken & waffles and a hearty farmer’s breakfast. Each dish is crafted with passion, highlighting local ingredients that enhance flavors and showcase the bistro's expertise.
Don’t miss out on the engaging experience at the chef's counter, as highlighted by Skip Walter. Here, you can watch culinary artisans Sean and Scott in action, transforming culinary techniques into an art form. It’s a rare opportunity to learn while enjoying amazing dishes, such as the savory penne, making your meal feel like both a feast and an educational experience.
While some may find the outdoor seating near traffic a slight drawback, the overall ambiance of The Newbergundian Bistro makes the experience worthwhile, as noted by Patrick Hannon. The delicious daily hash and ham and Brie sandwich are just a glimpse into the extensive and thoughtfully curated menu that caters to various palates.
Ultimately, The Newbergundian Bistro isn’t just a place to eat; it’s an experience that combines quality food, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're a foodie or simply seeking a charming spot to enjoy a meal, this bistro is a must-visit.
“ Went to this incredible Bistro today, for the first time. The staff was so amazing, friendly and attentive. Even got to meet the owner, Noelle. Such a sweet Lady. We had the Fish and Chips, which is fresh Halibut, fries and coleslaw. Loved everthing, including the appetizer. Took some vanilla cheesecake home for dessert. Amazing experience. If you want fresh quality food, it is a MUST. Thank you to all the great people, who made our lunch a total awesome experience. Yummy We will definitely be back Ate the dessert, was quite yummy ”
“ We tried this restaurant for brunch when we had family in town from California and everything was wonderful. All of the staff were kind and welcoming, the food was delicious (our table ordered chicken & waffles, fish & chips, breakfast hash, and a farmer’s breakfast), and the service was great. We will definitely be back again soon! ”
“ Fantastic place in Newberg. Reviews suggested sitting at the counter to watch the cooks. Sean and Scott were fabulous. Not only were we able to watch but we could ask questions. It was almost like a private cooking class I had the penne and Scott gave me several tips for cooking. We recommended to other diners who wondered what to order. Fabulous time. Great meal. Learned a lot. ”
“ LOVED my meal, the Daily Hash. My sister had the ham and Brie sandwich. Delish! Service amazing. Slight drawback. We sat outside (sunny!) but the place is just off the main drag, so a fair amount of traffic/noise. Still, very much worth it. ”
“ Super cute bistro with friendly, accommodating staff. I asked for the bleu cheese burger without a bun and the presentation was lovely. ”
“ This jewel of a restaurant has good vibes all around. I find the atmosphere to be relaxing and upbeat while the food transcends expectations. The steak and eggs were excellent and the Belgian waffle is upper tier. The staff is on point and lovely to interact with. It was an all around pleasure to dine here and I look forward to doing so again. And again. And again. ”
“ The brunch at the Newbergundian was so good we went two days in a row! The service was amazing and the waiter, Matt even recommended wineries for us to visit. Legit, local, delicious dishes! I recommend the chicken and waffles, the ham and brie sandwich and the bloody Maria! Beautiful plates, yummy food! ”
“ We stopped there for brunch today. The service and food were excellent. My wife had a razor clam sandwich. She loves razor clams and these were the best she has ever had. I had the daily hash which turned out to be chorizo. You could tell they made their own chorizo. ”
